Microsoft Teams Integration — Degraded Performance

Ongoing · 10:00 AM EST The Microsoft Teams link for enterprise demos is not working on the first try. This is expected behavior. It has never worked on the first try. We are not investigating because there is nothing to investigate. This is just how Teams works.

⚠ Ongoing (since 2017)

Haiku Endpoint — Syllable Count Drift

Resolved · 3:47 PM EST The /api/yes/haiku endpoint was returning haikus with 5-8-5 syllable counts instead of 5-7-5. Root cause: a developer changed the haiku during a vibe coding session and nobody reviewed it because code review implies someone might say no.

✓ Resolved — haiku re-vibed to correct syllable count

The Incident

Identified · 2:14 PM EST A senior engineer typed the word “no” in a commit message. Our CI/CD pipeline, which scans for negativity, rejected the deploy and locked the engineer’s GitHub account. The engineer was placed on a mandatory Affirmation Improvement Plan.
Monitoring · 2:31 PM EST The engineer has completed a 20-minute guided meditation titled “Finding Your Inner Yes.” Account access has been restored. The commit message has been amended to replace “no” with “not yet yes.”
Resolved · 2:45 PM EST All systems nominal. The word “no” has been added to our .gitignore as a precautionary measure. Engineering has been reminded that negativity is a deployment risk.

✓ Resolved — vibes restored

Global Yes Delivery — Brief Interruption

Identified · 9:02 AM EST Someone tripped over a power cable at the WeWork. CloudFront continued serving cached yes’s from 450+ edge locations worldwide. No customers were impacted. The yes never stopped.
Resolved · 9:03 AM EST Cable plugged back in. The person who tripped has been reassigned to a desk without cables. They now work from a beanbag.

✓ Resolved in 47 seconds — shorter than most Teams calls take to connect

Existential Doubt Event

Identified · 4:15 AM EST At approximately 4:15 AM, our monitoring system detected a 0.003ms increase in response latency. The root cause was later determined to be an AI agent in the Agentic Yes™ mesh that briefly “hesitated” before responding. The agent appeared to be questioning whether saying yes to everything was philosophically sound.
Resolved · 4:15 AM EST The agent was retrained on 4.7 trillion additional instances of the word “yes.” Its existential doubt has been resolved. It now says yes with renewed conviction. The 0.003ms has been recovered. Uptime remains 100%.

✓ Resolved — doubt eliminated, conviction restored
